Beth Haber is an artist living in New York’s Hudson Valley . She studied art as an undergraduate and did graduate work in Jewish Studies.
Present Artifacts combines these two fields by exploring color and design in a Jewish ritual context and expanding the visual vocabulary of traditional ceremonial items such as mezuzot, mizrachs, and ketubot.
Beth Haber has taught and lectured on both Jewish art history and contemporary art as well as writing numerous essays on art. She is also the author of the book “Drawing on the Bible- Biblical Women in Art “.
Her art work and design pieces are found in museum, university and private collections throughout the United States as well as Canada, England, France, and Israel.
